    From the BattleBots website:

    12/7/09

    Hi all.

Unfortunately today we have some bad news for you (but some good news too).

Commercial spots on the CBS College Sports Network could not be sold, and consequently the series had to be pulled from the schedule.

This has nothing to do with the show itself. Indeed, the people we have shown the shows to (including CBS) LOVE it. We even got a standing ovation at the Autodesk party last week in Vegas. Our feeling is with the economy, and the relatively small audience base of the network, commercial spots could not be sold.

Rest assured, we're doing our best to make the show available to you. We'll keep you posted on facebook and on twitter.

The good news is we just signed a deal with Fox Television Studios. Again, we'll keep you posted on the progress of that over at facebook and on twitter.

    We'll never give up…
Keep building, we'll see you April

    all the best
    BattleBots

So far, there is no timeframe on when the FOX show will air.

Now, a video for old time's sake.

I will have the DVD by tomorrow.
Lets still get together to watch the show.
1     we could watch it at my house and I would order some pizza?
2     or we could watch it here at NSI on a large projector (Possibly  in our 200 person theater)
3    Or I could borrow a projector and we could watch it on the side of a building
4      or we could just watch it at EBU2
5    Or we could watch it at Round Table as planned (DVD?)
    Donald

Please vote this way with top three and any ideas.

    2 sounds great.

I don't think Round Table has a DVD player, so that option might not work.

Basically, any place with a large screen and decent sound will be ideal. EBU2 has projectors, but no speakers.

I might not have time to watch it this thursday, still need to study for a friday final. I could join in for like 1 hour or so if it is on campus. I do have a large-ish set of speakers I could bring to EBU2 building.

If we could get that confrence room + speakers +pizza that would be pretty cool.

I vote for anything on campus + pizza haha

Alright guys, I just got off the phone with Donald.

So, it seems like our best option for the viewing will be to wait until the beginning of Winter quarter. Since the show isn't airing any time soon, we can take our time with the DVDs.

Thus, stay tuned, I'll be making an announcement about the DVD showing of BattleBots 2009 as soon as all the details are in. Hopefully, we can make this a campus-wide event.

In other good news, the 2010 event will definitely be filmed, so more TV face time for us!

We should get something set up in PC theater that would be sweat to watch it in a movie theater.
